4Results at Fir Grove Mentoring Program matches adult mentors with youth who attend the Fir Grove Children's Center where they receive their education along with therapeutic support. These youth are identified as having the greatest needs in Southwest Washington. They are 4th through 8th graders who need a mentor to support them in school based and/or community based activities. http://www.4Resultsmentoring.org

WHO CAN MENTOR?
Mentors must be 18 or older and are accepted based on an application process which includes a criminal background check, reference checks, and an interview. Mentors must have a reliable car, valid driver’s license, and insurance.

TRAINING REQUIRED:
Before being matched, mentors will attend 8-10 hours of training. Ongoing training and support will also be available.

TIME COMMITMENT REQUIRED:
1-3 hours weekly for 12 months. The mentor chooses the child they mentor and the day and time they wish to participate.
